Why must I stop using my previous Gnosis Card wallet?

Learn why you shouldn't send fund your previous Gnosis Card address.

Following a Gnosis Pay safe wallet migration, your account has been assigned a new Gnosis Card wallet address. You must use this new address for all future deposits and transfers.

Important: Your previous Gnosis Card wallet address is no longer Valid.

Do not send funds to your previous wallet address under any circumstances.

Why is this important?

Many users save wallet addresses in exchanges, wallets, address books, or contact lists under labels such as "Gnosis Card." While these saved entries may still appear valid in your wallet or exchange interface, they are no longer linked to your active account.

External wallets and exchanges cannot automatically detect that your previous address has been replaced. As a result, funds may be sent to an outdated address if saved records are not updated.

What should I do?

To avoid any issues:

  • Delete any previously saved Gnosis Pay addresses.

  • Update withdrawal address books on exchanges.

  • Update wallet contacts and saved recipients.

  • Always copy your current wallet address directly from the app before making a transfer.

Using the address displayed in the app is the safest way to ensure funds are sent to the correct destination.

What happens If I send funds to my old address?

Funds sent to a previous wallet address will not reach your active Gnosis Card account.

I already sent funds to my previous Gnosis Card address

If you believe you have sent funds to a previous wallet address, please contact Support as soon as possible and provide:

  • The asset sent

  • The amount transferred

  • The sending wallet or exchange

How can I verify my current wallet address?

Your current wallet address is always displayed within your Gnosis App, in the Card tab. Before initiating any transfer, verify that the destination address matches the address shown in your account. If there is any doubt, do not proceed with the transaction until you have confirmed the correct address.
