Why is my refund considered "failed"?

This article explains the refund process.

The "failed" status does not mean your refund was unsuccessful. Your actual refund will appear as a separate transaction with its own transaction ID.

The time it takes to receive a refund depends on how quickly the merchant processes it:

  1. Merchants may confirm a refund with you immediately, but may not process it on their end until later

  2. Once Gnosis receives the refund from the merchant, it enters the processing queue the next business day

  3. The refund is then processed on the following working day

If you've been waiting for more than 10 days for your refund, contact us via Gnosis App.

  • Purchase date

  • Refund amount

  • Merchant name

  • Transaction details

The support team can then escalate the issue with the card provider for further investigation
