Gnosis Card rewards are distributed in gCRC to your primary Gnosis App wallet.
This guide explains where your card rewards are sent, when they are distributed, and why a reward may not appear immediately after a card payment.
Before you start
To receive Gnosis Card rewards, you need:
a Gnosis App account
an active Gnosis Card connected to your account
an eligible card transaction
a primary Gnosis App wallet
To be backer
Card rewards are only available for eligible card payments and to backers. Some transactions may not qualify for rewards, and eligibility is confirmed after the transaction has fully settled.
Where your card reward is sent
Your Gnosis Card reward is sent to your primary Gnosis App wallet. This means your reward is not sent to the merchant, your card balance, an external wallet, or a separate rewards account. It is distributed directly to the main wallet connected to your Gnosis App account. Rewards are paid in gCRC.
When your card reward is sent
Eligible users receive their gCRC card reward every Tuesday. Gnosis App calculates card rewards on a weekly basis. The weekly reward period runs from the beginning of Sunday to the end of Saturday. Eligible transactions from that weekly period are then calculated and distributed on the following Tuesday.
Why your reward may not appear immediately
Your card reward is not sent right after each card payment. A transaction must first settle before it can be counted for card rewards. If a transaction is still pending, reversed, refunded, or not eligible, it may not be included in the reward calculation. This means a card payment made during the week may only be reflected in your reward after the weekly calculation has been completed.
How weekly rewards are calculated
Gnosis App reviews eligible card transactions from the weekly reward period.
The reward amount can depend on:
the eligible amount spent with your Gnosis Card
whether each transaction has fully settled
whether the transaction type qualifies for rewards
your card reward rate
your weekly reward cap
any active reward bonus or promotion that applies to your account
If a transaction settles too late to be included in the current weekly calculation, it may be included in a later reward period if it is eligible.
Why your reward amount may be different from your own calculation
Your reward amount may be different from your own calculation if:
one or more transactions were still pending
one or more transactions were refunded or reversed
one or more transactions were not eligible for rewards
you counted transactions outside the weekly reward period
your reward rate or weekly cap changed
a transaction settled after the reward calculation
a temporary reward bonus did not apply to every transaction
Only eligible, settled transactions are counted toward card rewards.
Card reward timing example
If you make eligible card payments between Sunday and Saturday, those transactions are reviewed for the next weekly reward calculation. If the transactions have settled and qualify for rewards, the gCRC reward is distributed to your primary Gnosis App wallet on the following Tuesday. If a transaction is still pending when the reward is calculated, it may not be included in that Tuesdayâs reward.
