The Gnosis Card cashback program is ending. The final reward period ends Saturday 29 August 2026 at 23:59, and the final distribution is Tuesday 1 September 2026.
This article explains what happens to your rewards, what you keep, and what changes after the final distribution.
What is happening
The team building the Gnosis App is becoming an independent company focused on Circles. That means stepping back from broad incentive programs like cashback.
There is no revamped cashback program planned.
Becoming a backer no longer earns cashback. Backers who were already earning continue until the final distribution.

The final reward period runs from Sunday 23 August 00:00 to Saturday 29 August 23:59, following the normal weekly schedule. Card spending from Sunday 30 August onward does not earn cashback.
What you keep
All gCRC already distributed to your wallet stays in your wallet. Ending the programme does not remove rewards that were already paid.
Your Gnosis Card continues to work exactly as it does today.
Your account, balances, and funds are unchanged.
You can still top up your card with gCRC, and still swap gCRC to other currencies.
Your final distribution
Your final cashback distribution follows the normal weekly process and arrives on Tuesday 1 September 2026, paid in gCRC to your primary Gnosis App wallet.
Pending transactions
A transaction generally needs to settle before it can be included in the reward calculation. A payment that is still pending, or that settles after the final period closes, may not be included in the final distribution. The transaction date alone does not guarantee eligibility if the payment has not completed the required settlement process.
Reward estimates
Any cashback estimate shown in the app before distribution is an estimate rather than a guaranteed payout. The final amount can change because of:
Transaction settlement
Refunds or reversals
Excluded transaction categories
Weekly caps
The applicable reward period
The distributed amount is the final result of the reward calculation.
What counted as eligible card spending
A card payment had to meet the program requirements to qualify. A transaction may not qualify if it is:
Pending or not fully settled
Declined or cancelled
Refunded or reversed
In an excluded merchant or transaction category
Outside the applicable reward period
Above the weekly reward cap
Otherwise ineligible under the program rules
A successful card payment does not automatically guarantee cashback.
The G and GNO holdings
The G stops adding its extra 1 gCRC per âŹ1 spent from 1 September 2026, and no new G will be issued. Your G stays in your wallet, along with the badge on your profile and the G app theme.
GNO holdings no longer affect a reward rate or weekly cap, because there is no longer a cashback program. Your GNO is otherwise unaffected and stays in your wallet.

Cashback was intended to reward genuine card usage. Fake accounts, artificial spending, circular transactions, self-dealing, or attempts to manipulate the reward system may lead to rewards being delayed, withheld, cancelled, or excluded, including in the final distribution. Gnosis App may also blacklist addresses from gCRC cashback, referral rewards, or both where abusive activity is detected or reasonably suspected.

Backers kept earning cashback after it ended for other users in July, and for some of you that was part of why you backed. If these changes affect the commitment you made, please get in touch. Questions
Will cashback come back? There is no revamped program planned.
Do I lose the gCRC I already earned? No. It stays in your wallet.
I spent on my card during the final week â when do I get it? Tuesday 1 September 2026, provided the transaction settled in time.
Does spending on Sunday 30 August count? No. The final reward period ends Saturday 29 August at 23:59.
My final distribution looks smaller than I expected. The most common reasons are transactions that hadn't settled yet, refunds or reversals, or spending in an excluded category. If it still looks wrong after the 1 September distribution, contact support.
Does my card still work? Yes, exactly as before.
What can I do with my gCRC now? You can top up your Gnosis Card with it, and you can swap it to other currencies.
Why did this change so soon after the July change? The July change was made while a redesigned programme was being prepared. The team's spin-out into an independent company changed that plan.
