The G is a non-transferable digital collectible held by early members of the Gnosis App ecosystem.
From 1 September 2026 the G becomes a pure collectible. It stops providing its card reward boost, and no new G will be issued.

Your G is not going anywhere
Your G stays in your wallet. It is not removed, revoked, burned, or migrated. It remains non-transferable and soulbound, tied to your wallet, exactly as before.
The G badge stays on your profile and the G app theme stays unlocked.
What changes is that it no longer carries a card reward benefit, because the cashback program is ending for everyone, and that no more will ever be issued.
No new G will be issued
Both routes to earning a G close on 1 September 2026:
Inviting friends. The referral route no longer results in a G.
Becoming a Circles Backer. Backing no longer makes you eligible for one.
The G has always been minted automatically at the end of each week. If you qualified recently and your G has not appeared yet, please contact support before 1 September 2026 so we can check where your referrals stand.
Why this is happening
The team building the Gnosis App is becoming an independent company focused on Circles, and stepping back from broad incentive programs. Rather than keep issuing a collectible whose benefits no longer exist, the G is being closed as a fixed set: a badge from the early days, with a permanent supply.

Can I sell or transfer my G? No. The G is non-transferable and soulbound, and that has not changed.

Note: The OG NFT generated by Gnosis Pay is NOT recognized by the Gnosis App. The Gnosis App and Gnosis Pay operate independently, with separate cashback programs and distinct NFTs. Users should focus on the G NFT for rewards within the Gnosis App.
