If your funds didnât arrive in your Gnosis Card's account, you might have sent them on the wrong blockchain network.
The good news? Your assets are not lost.
They are still sitting safely at your Gnosis Pay Safe address but on a different chain. This guide will show you how to access and recover them.
What You Will Need
Before you begin:
A desktop or laptop computer
MetaMask, Rabby or another browser wallet installed
Your Gnosis Pay Safe address (e.g.,
gno:0x123...)A small amount of the gas token for the network where the funds were sent (e.g., ETH, MATIC, ARB)
Recovery Steps
đ Step 1: Open Your Safe in Safe{Wallet}
Format the URL like this:
âhttps://app.safe.global/home?safe=gno:0xYourSafeAddressPaste the full link into your browser and open it.
đ Step 2: Switch to the Correct Network
In the top-right corner of Safe{Wallet}, open the network selector.
Choose the blockchain you mistakenly used (e.g., Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum).
𧩠Step 3: Set Up Your Safe on That Network
You will be prompted to deploy your Safe on the selected chain.
Approve the transaction in your wallet (this uses a small amount of the chainâs gas token).
Wait for confirmation.
đ° Step 4: Access and Recover Your Funds
Once deployed, youâll be able to see your Safe on the new network.
The tokens you sent should appear.
From here, you can either:
Send them to another wallet you control, or
Use a cross-chain bridge to move them back to Gnosis Chain.
Troubleshooting Tips
â âEOA Mismatch Warningâ
You may see a message saying your connected wallet isnât a Safe owner.
This is expected for Gnosis Pay usersâyour Delay Module controls your Safe.
You can ignore the warning and proceed.
đ” Token Not Showing?
Try sending a tiny âdustâ amount of the same token to your Safe address on that chain.
This refreshes the token list and usually makes your full balance appear.
