Getting started with referral campaign

Learn about the referral campaign and its underlying mechanics.

The referral campaign is designed to help grow the Gnosis App ecosystem through trusted social connections. By inviting people you know and trust, you contribute to building a stronger and healthier network while also becoming eligible for referral rewards.

What Is the Referral Campaign?

The referral campaign allows Gnosis App users to invite new participants to join the network using a personal invite link.

When a new user joins through your invitation and actively generates CRC, you may receive referral rewards over time. The system is designed to reward meaningful participation rather than one-time signups.

Because Circles is built around trust relationships, users are encouraged to invite only people they personally know or trust. Responsible referrals help maintain the long-term health and resilience of the ecosystem.

How Do I Create an Invite?

To create a referral invite, open the You tab in the app, select Invite, and then tap Create New Invite.

Creating an invite link costs 96 CRC. This cost exists to discourage spam, reduce abuse, and encourage thoughtful invitations rather than mass distribution of referral links.

Once created, the invite link can be shared with someone you would like to invite into the network.

How Do Referral Rewards Work?

When someone joins using your invite link, you become eligible to receive a referral reward equal to approximately 1/12 of the CRC they generate.

Referral rewards are distributed progressively based on the invited user’s actual activity and CRC issuance. This means rewards are not paid instantly or upfront, but accumulate over time as the referred user participates in the network.

The referral reward period lasts for one year starting from the moment the invited user accepts the invitation.

When Will I Receive Rewards?

Referral rewards depend entirely on the activity of the invited user.

If the referred user actively generates CRC, you will receive your share of the referral rewards. If they stop participating or do not generate CRC, no rewards will be distributed during that period.

This structure is intended to encourage genuine onboarding and long-term participation rather than inactive or artificial referrals.

Why Does the System Encourage Trusted Invitations?

Circles relies on social trust and healthy network relationships. Inviting trusted participants helps improve the quality of the ecosystem and reduces the likelihood of abuse, fake accounts, or spam activity.

To further protect the network, the referral and reputation systems include safeguards against manipulation, including behavioral monitoring, trust-based scoring, and activity-based reward generation. The goal is to support sustainable ecosystem growth while keeping participation fair for all users.
