Why a Shop order may fail?

Learn why one of your order in the Shop may not succeed.

A Shop order may fail if the offer is unavailable, your account is not eligible, you do not have enough gCRC, or the transaction cannot be completed. This guide explains the most common reasons a transaction may fail and what you can check before trying again.


Before you start

The Gnosis App Shop lets eligible users redeem available offers using gCRC.

To complete a Shop buy, you need:

  • access to your Gnosis App account

  • enough gCRC for the offer

  • an available Shop offer

  • an account that meets the offer requirements

  • a successful transaction confirmation

Shop offers can change over time. Some offers may have limited availability, account requirements, weekly caps, or maximum transaction amounts.


Why a Shop buy order can fail

A Shop order can fail for different reasons.

The most common reasons are:

  • the offer is no longer available

  • the offer has sold out

  • you do not have enough gCRC

  • you reached a weekly redemption limit

  • the ordered amount is above the offer limit

  • your account is not eligible for the offer

  • the transaction was not confirmed

  • the transaction failed while processing

  • the app could not complete the order because of a temporary issue

If it fails, your gCRC should not be spent unless the transaction was successfully completed.


Check your gCRC balance

Most Shop offers are paid with gCRC. If your gCRC balance is lower than the price of the offer, it cannot be completed.

Before trying again, check that you have enough spendable gCRC in your Gnosis App wallet. Your visible balance and your spendable balance may not always be the same, depending on how your gCRC is held and whether it can be used for that specific offer.


Check whether the offer is still available

Some Shop offers are limited. An offer may disappear or fail at checkout if:

  • the offer sold out

  • the offer expired

  • the available allocation was used

  • the offer was paused

  • the offer is no longer available to your account

  • the offer changed while you were trying to redeem it

The Shop view inside Gnosis App is the best place to check what is currently available to you.


Check offer limits

Some Shop offers may have limits. These can include:

  • a maximum amount per order

  • a maximum number of redemptions

  • a weekly cap

  • an account-level cap

  • a limited total supply

  • a limit based on the type of offer

If you reached a limit, you may not be able to complete another order until the limit resets or the offer becomes available again.


If the transaction is pending

An order may appear pending while the transaction is being processed.

While a transaction is pending, avoid repeating the same buy too quickly.

Trying again before the first transaction finishes may create confusion or duplicate attempts. Wait for the transaction to complete or fail before starting a new transaction.


If the transaction failed

If the transaction failed, the order was not completed. You can check your transaction history to see whether the transaction was successful, pending, or failed.

If the transaction failed and your gCRC balance did not change, you can try again after checking that the offer is still available, your balance is sufficient, and your account is eligible.


If your gCRC was deducted but the order doesn't appear

If your gCRC was deducted but the buy does not appear to have completed, check your transaction history first.

The transaction may still be processing, or the transaction may be recorded under a Shop, Marketplace, bid, redemption, or offer-related label.

Avoid making the same transaction again until you understand the status of the first transaction.


If the offer price changed

Some Shop offers may have changing prices, rates, or available amounts. If the price or rate changes before your transaction is confirmed, the order may not complete as expected. Always review the final offer details before confirming a Shop transaction.
