How to recover my account?

This articles provides all the steps to recover an account from a user's perspective.

Gnosis App uses passkeys for authentication. If you can't log in, and you had set up email recovery when you signed up, this article will walk you through how you can recover your account.

Under the login button on the home screen, press the "Trouble logging in?" link.

That should bring you to this troubleshooting page. Your first option should be to reset your app, as this often fixes some login issues.

If, after resetting, you are still unable to log in, and you've set up email recovery, then press "Recover via Email" to initiate the process.

Fill in the email you used during registration. A verification email will be sent to you. Check your inbox and get the six-digit verification code.

After entering the six-digit code, you will be asked to add a passkey. This will be the new passkey you use to log into the account. Save it in your password manager. You may want to name it "Gnosis App recovery" to differentiate it from your old passkey.

For security reasons, you will now be entered into a three-day waiting period. You'll be notified by email when the waiting period is over.

After three days, you can activate the new passkey that you created. Your old passkey will no longer work after this step.
