"Authorization code missing in redirect" error when finalizing IBAN connection?

When trying to finalize the IBAN connection in the Gnosis App, you may encounter an error message that reads "Error: Authorization code missing in redirect". This error typically occurs during the final step of the IBAN setup process when the app attempts to connect with Monerium to complete the integration.

Answer

This error occurs because your Monerium account configuration is not properly directed to your Gnosis App wallet. The IBAN is currently linked to a different wallet address than your Gnosis App wallet, which prevents the authorization flow from completing successfully.

To resolve this issue, you need to configure your Monerium account to use your Gnosis App wallet address. Follow these steps:

  1. Add an external owner to your Gnosis App wallet:

  2. Get your Gnosis App wallet address:

    • Go to the wallet page > deposit > receive to the wallet address

    • Click on the address to copy it

  3. Connect your MetaMask wallet to Monerium:

  4. Import your Gnosis App wallet to Safe:

  5. Connect the Safe wallet to Monerium:

    • Add a wallet with Safe

    • Select your imported Gnosis App wallet to connect with Monerium

    • Verify that the Gnosis App Safe is connected to Monerium

  6. Complete the IBAN setup in Gnosis App:

If you continue to experience issues after following these steps, the development team is aware of this as an edge case and is working on a fix. In the meantime, you can still receive funds to your IBAN through the Monerium interface, even if the Gnosis App integration is not fully completed.

Note: Unfortunately, Gnosis support cannot make changes to your Monerium account configuration directly. All Monerium account modifications must be done by you through the Monerium interface.
