Key Takeaways
Gnosis App introduces gCRC as the primary spendable and tradeable currency.
Existing CRC balances are divided into tradeable and non-tradeable portions.
Tradeable balances are converted into gCRC.
Non-tradeable balances are converted into Personal CRC (CRC).
Your Wallet tab displays gCRC only.
Personal CRC balances can be viewed from the Home tab.
A lower gCRC balance does not necessarily mean your CRC has been lost; part of it may have been converted into Personal CRC.
gCRC only appear after your first CRC minting
Personal CRC cannot be converted into gCRC.
With the introduction of new features, gCRC has become the primary currency used for trading, spending, and participating in the app. As part of this transition, existing CRC balances are categorised and converted differently depending on whether they are considered tradeable or non-tradeable.
How Are CRC Balances Categorised?
Your CRC balance is divided into two categories:
Tradeable Balance
Non-Tradeable Balance
You can see this distinction when viewing assets that are available for swapping.
Because of this categorisation, your entire CRC balance may not be fully tradeable.
How does the conversion Process work?
During the migration to Gnosis App:
The tradeable portion of your CRC balance is converted into gCRC.
The non-tradeable portion of your CRC balance is converted into Personal CRC (CRC).
As a result, only balances classified as tradeable become gCRC and are available for spending, swapping, and other in-app activities.
Why is my gCRC balance lower than my Previous CRC balance?
In some cases, a large portion of your previous CRC balance may have been classified as non-tradeable.
When this happens, that balance is converted into Personal CRC rather than gCRC.
This can make your gCRC balance appear lower than your previous total CRC balance, even though your assets have not disappeared.
Where Can I Find My Personal CRC?
Depending on your balance composition, most of your previous CRC may now exist as Personal CRC. You can view your Personal CRC balance on the Home tab. The Wallet tab displays your gCRC balance only, which is why the balance shown there may be lower than your total holdings.
Why my gCRC is not shown?
IMPORTANT: You should mint your personal CRC first to have the conversion applied. If you don't do it, your gCRC balance remains at 0.
