I created an IBAN with another smart wallet provider (Zeal, Rebind) or with Monerium UI

Get precise instructions on how to manually migrate your IBAN and resolve connection errors.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to help you finalize your IBAN connection on a previous Monerium account inside the Gnosis App.

🛑 The Issue: "Error: Authorization code missing in redirect"

If you encounter this error message, it usually pops up during the final step of the IBAN setup when the Gnosis App attempts to connect with Monerium.

🔧 Why does this happen? Your Monerium account configuration is not properly directed to your Gnosis App wallet. The IBAN is currently linked to a different wallet address, which prevents the authorization flow from successfully completing.

To fix this, we just need to point your Monerium account to your new Gnosis App wallet address. Let's resolve it in a few steps 👇

🔓 Step 1: Add an External Owner to Your Gnosis App Wallet

  • Go to Your App Settings: Navigate to your settings, then tap on Wallet owners (or head directly over to https://app.gnosis.io/more/wallet-owners ).

  • Initiate the Process: Tap the "+" sign in the top right corner and select Add external owner.

  • Provide the Details: Paste the address of your external Web3 wallet (such as Rabby or MetaMask) that you want to act as an owner. You can also add a label here to help you remember it (optional).

  • Confirm: Tap Add owner and use your passkey to confirm the action.

📋 Step 2: Get Your Gnosis App Wallet Address

  • Navigate: Go to the Wallet page in your Gnosis App.

  • Find Your Address: Tap Deposit, then select Receive to the wallet address.

  • Copy It: Click on the button next to the address to copy it to your clipboard.

💻 Step 3: Log in to Your Monerium Account

  • Open Monerium: Visit https://monerium.app/

  • Sign In: Log in using the email address associated with your Monerium account.

Note: This might be the exact same email you use for your Gnosis Pay account. If you’ve never logged into Monerium directly before, simply use the “Forgot password” option to gain access!

🛡️ Step 4: Import Your Gnosis App Wallet to Safe

  • Connect Your Wallet: Connect your external owner wallet to Safe by using the Connect Wallet button in the top right corner.

  • Initiate Import: Click the Add button at the top of the page.

  • Provide the Details: Paste the Gnosis App wallet address you copied in Step 2, enter a name for the Safe (e.g., "Gnosis App"), and then click Next.

  • Check Permissions: Make sure that the external owner's address you added in Step 1 is set as a signer. You can also verify this later by checking the Settings tab on the left side of the Safe dashboard.

🧭 Step 5: Open Monerium inside Safe Apps

  • Open Safe Apps: Access the Safe Apps tab by clicking on Apps on the left side of your Safe dashboard.

  • Find Monerium: Search for the Monerium app in the ecosystem list and open it.

  • Log In: Log into your Monerium account directly within the Safe interface (refer back to Step 3 if needed).

🔗 Step 6: Connect the Safe to Monerium

  • Connect Wallet: Once in Monerium, tap the Connect wallet button located in the top right corner.

  • Confirm Details: On the "Confirm your wallet" popup, enter a name for your wallet (e.g., "Gnosis App"), then below that, tap to enable Gnosis for the network.

  • Sign & Confirm: That will open a signature popup on your Safe. Review the transaction and sign to confirm it using your connected external owner wallet.

  • Save: After successfully signing, return to the Monerium app interface inside your Safe, scroll down, and tap on Save.

🏦 Step 7: Link Your IBAN to the Gnosis App

  • Navigate to Receive: Click on Receive from the menu on the left side of your Monerium dashboard.

  • Select Your Wallet: Under the "Receive bank payment" section, open the drop-down menu and select your Gnosis App wallet.

  • Move IBAN: Tap the Move IBAN button. This will update your IBAN configuration to point to your new App Safe address, and a confirmation message will let you know it was successful.

✅ Step 8: Complete the IBAN Setup in Gnosis App

  • Head Back to Gnosis App: Navigate to the Card tab on the Gnosis App (https://app.gnosis.io/card) and sign-in securely using your passkey.

  • Import Monerium: Next, head directly to https://app.gnosis.io/card/import-monerium

  • Connect IBAN: Tap the Connect button to pull in your Monerium IBAN, then confirm the action with your passkey.

  • Success: Wait just a moment and you will see your IBAN details displayed on the App. You're all done! 🚀

💡 Pro-Tip: Moving forward, you can also easily access these IBAN details at any time directly from your Wallet tab by tapping the Details button.
